Bio

I hold a Ph.D. in French Studies from Rice University. My research focuses on 19th and 20th century French literature discussing socioeconomic inequalities. Check out my latest book, a co-edited volume titled Marginal Paris: Representing the Shadows of the City of Light (2024). At SU, I has developed many initiatives to support for students and the community: I designed a semester-long study abroad program in Lyon, France and coordinated community engagement projects, including programs serving the local Haitian community. I am currently the supervisor of the SU Prison Book Discussion at the Eastern Correctional Institution. My current initiative focuses on students' career-preparedness with a course and a minor on intercultural competence for the workplace.
